1) Grip the ball with your fingertips, using hardly any of your palm.
2) Turn your entire body sideways, with your head turned towards your target.
3) Take your gloved hand and point it directly at your target.
4) With the softball in you other hand, shift most of your body weight onto your back foot.
5) Pull the softball back, while keeping your elbow up in the air.
6) Push off your back foot, and your arm should go up and out towards your target. As the ball is released, snap your wrist hard.
